Literature Consultant

I am a freelance Literature Consultant working on projects across the UK. Originally from the North East, I worked at Southbank Centre in London for 10 years, where I curated events with Michelle Obama, Roxane Gay, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Hannah Gadsby, Candice Carty-Williams, Hilary Mantel and Louis Theroux. I also set up numerous projects alongside underrepresented writers.

My current freelance roles include programming and producing literature events and festivals, copy writing and evaluation with clients including Brighton Festival, The WOW Foundation, Primadonna Festival and Write & Shine. I am also an Artistic Associate at Warwick Arts Centre, working on their Autumn Words & Ideas series.

I have strong connections with many of the UK’s literature development agencies and was Co-Chair of New Writing South.
